this still life incorporates soft greens, browns, orange and greys. I attempted to copy a style Cezanne used in some of his works by making the potted plant appear to "float" and the objects look like they will roll off the table surface.
About Joan Clear
I began my career as a painter, exhibiting and selling my paintings in Chicago before relocating to Florida in 1996. As an active member of the DuPage, Downers Grove, and Lisle Art Leagues in Chicago�s western suburbs I exhibited my artwork in many prestigious Chicago-land venues including the Art Institute�s Sales and Rental Gallery, the Oak Brook Fine Arts Promenade, and the Gold Coast Art Show, just to name a few.� Many of my paintings hang in permanent collections both here and abroad.� Since moving to Florida I continue to participate in juried and invitational shows but have recently expanded my interests to include fusing glass, creating unique kiln-formed art glass pieces, "suncatchers/garden art" and one of a kind...
